Leadership Team

Lars Norell is a Co-Founder and Co-CEO of Altus. Before starting Altus, Mr. Norell was a Principal and Managing Director at Cohen & Company where he served as Head of Capital Markets and subsequently led the Alternative Assets effort. Prior to joining Cohen & Company in February of 2006, Mr. Norell was a Managing Director and Co-Head of US Structured Credit Products at Merrill Lynch. Before that he was a Vice President and investment banker in the Credit Products Group at Credit Suisse. Mr. Norell began his career as an attorney at Cadwalader, Wickersham & Taft in 1998. Educated in Europe and the U.S., Mr. Norell has a BSBA from IUM in France and a J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law.

Gregg Felton is a Co-Founder and Co-CEO of Altus Power. Prior to founding Altus, Mr. Felton was a partner of Goldman Sachs and the Chief Investment Officer of the Credit Alternatives platform at Goldman Sachs Asset Management (GSAM), where he oversaw hedge funds as well as several private credit vehicles, mutual funds, and separate accounts aggregating over $5 billion. Prior to joining Goldman Sachs, Mr. Felton was a senior portfolio manager at Amaranth Advisors, a multi-strategy hedge fund located in Greenwich, Connecticut. He led Amaranth’s global corporate credit investment team from 2000 to 2006. Before joining Amaranth, he was a vice president at Chase Manhattan Bank. Mr. Felton earned a BA in Economics from Tufts University and a JD and MBA from the Georgetown University Law Center and School of Business.

Tony Savino is a Co-Founder and Chief Construction Officer of Altus Power and leads the Construction and Engineering Team. Prior to co-founding Altus, Mr. Savino spent his career in architecture and construction with over thirty five years of design and field experience. In addition to his education and training in architecture, Mr. Savino has specialized studies in passive solar, wind and photovoltaic systems. Mr. Savino has completed in excess of 500 projects, both commercial and residential, including shopping centers, condominiums, restaurants, office buildings, residential subdivisions and custom homes. Mr. Savino earned a Bachelor of Architecture degree from the University of Miami with a specialization in Alternate Energy Systems in July of 1981.

Dustin has been Chief Financial Officer of Altus since 2018 and he oversees the Company’s accounting and finance department. Prior to his role as Chief Financial Officer, Mr. Weber held the position of Managing Director of Altus from 2013 to 2018. Before joining Altus, Dustin worked for seven years on the energy desk at Torus Capital, a multi-strategy trading firm located in New York. At Torus, Dustin focused on the broad energy markets with a specific emphasis on crude oil and natural gas commodities. Dustin holds a Bachelor’s of Science in business from Ferris State University in Michigan.

Julia Sears is a digital leader with over two decades of experience in the technology industry. As the Chief Digital Officer at Altus Power, she oversees the company's digital strategy, technology operations, and innovation initiatives. She is responsible for developing and executing the company's digital roadmap, aligning technology investments with business goals, and driving digital transformation across the organization. Before joining Altus Power, Sears held leadership positions at TIAA and the Nasdaq Stock Market. Working with Apple, Amazon, Google, Microsoft and others on strategic product launches. Sears holds multiple patents. Sears also has strong experience working with nonprofit industry institutions, healthcare and government organizations from her time at TIAA working closely with boards to determine the best outcomes and technology engagement solutions for their organizations. Known as a forward-thinking C-suite executive, with cross-functional expertise in strategy, client engagement, behavioral strategy, business development, go-to-market, and general management. Sears is a change agent with a collaborative style, passionate about building highly effective teams and helping individuals realize their potential. Her areas of expertise include digital strategy, digital innovation and execution, financial markets through annuities, energy, data analytics, and cloud computing. Julia attended the University of Massachusetts where she held a multi-year board seat with the Social and Behavioral Sciences division. She is also a frequent speaker at technology conferences and a thought leader in the digital space. Julia currently resides in Weston, Connecticut, with her family. Ms. Sears was recognized as Traders Magazine Markets Choice Award Buy Side Technology in 2016 and Best Enterprise Application for Market Replay in 2008. She began her career in the data center of the Nasdaq Stock Market, developing technology solutions still in use today.

Sophia is Chief Legal Officer and Chief Sustainability Officer of Altus. Prior to joining Altus, Sophia was General Counsel of IEX, where she helped launch and grow IEX’s national securities exchange and other businesses. Prior to joining IEX, Sophia was Deputy General Counsel of Liquidnet, where she worked with global regulators to establish trading venues around the world and managed all corporate transactions. Previously, she served as Associate General Counsel at ITG where she managed public company matters and commercial transactions. Sophia began her career at Paul, Weiss where she practiced in the M&A and private equity groups for several years. Sophia received her B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from M.I.T. and her J.D. from NYU Law and is a CFA charterholder.

Melissa Boulan is the Chief People Officer of Altus Power. Prior to joining Altus, Melissa was the Chief of Staff at Vatera Holdings, a large family office with a healthcare venture capital arm. In her role at Vatera, Melissa led the firm’s human resource efforts and worked on a range of business management and operational issues including special projects across the organization to improve processes, implement best practices and reduce costs. Before joining Vatera, she was the first Head of Human Resources for Viking Global Investors where she helped institutionalize the firm by designing and implementing various processes around talent, performance and development. Prior to Viking, Melissa spent almost ten years at Goldman Sachs in investment and operational capacities including as Business Unit Manager of Goldman’s Private Investment Area within the Merchant Bank, a Franchise Manager of the Global Special Situations Group within the Fixed Income Division and as an Investment Banker in the Real Estate Group. Prior to Goldman, she began her career at Coopers & Lybrand where she was promoted to a Senior Tax Associate. Melissa received her B.S. from Providence College and her MBA from Columbia Business School.

Dan oversees Altus Power’s strategy to scale operations across the platform, build sustainable value through its alliances with strategic partners and accelerate growth. Prior to joining Altus Power in 2022, Dan began his career as a Manufacturing Automation Software Engineer and held roles of increasing responsibility over 25 years, designing and building manufacturing equipment and software solutions for pharmaceutical and medical device customers. In 2009, Dan joined the renewable energy industry as President and CEO of SOLON Corporation where he led major shifts in strategy to establish SOLON’s commercial and utility scale solar project development business. Most recently, Dan worked at Duke Energy’s subsidiary REC Solar where he began as Senior Vice President, first overseeing the development, engineering, procurement, construction, and operations of PV systems, and subsequently led its U.S. development, direct origination, and marketing teams. Thereafter, Dan was promoted to Managing Director of Growth Implementation, responsible for structured finance, project development and acquisition, and technology enablement and development.​​​​​​​ Dan has an Electrical Engineering degree from Worcester Polytechnic Institute. Dan later went on to complete his Master of Finance from the University of St. Thomas, Opus College of Business.
